Game table forming a console in blackened pearwood veneer with inlays of brass fillets dressed with bronzes. This Napoleon III piece of furniture is equipped with a front and sides curved, decorated with ormolu trimmings, representing large masks surrounded by ivy and foliage. This table rests on four very arched feet accompanied by important bronze falls with childish faces. These follow the hump of each foot, continuing with a border formed by a brass rod on the edge. The feet end in bronze sabots. The front crosspiece with a downward cut-out, is shaped with the legs. The fronts and each side are covered with gilded bronze rods in relief. The center is inlaid with brass fillets, following the shapes of the bronze rods. The top follows the low structure. The top, dressed with a chiseled bronze molding, has inlaid brass fillets, parallel, taking the forms of the table whose corners are protruding. The top opens on a green felt in perfect condition, surrounded by inlaid brass fillets. It swivels to stabilize itself and we then discover an interior storage space in mahogany. The refinement and the great alliance of the gilded bronzes and the blackened wood, make of this table napoleon III, a precious piece of furniture which will find a place of choice in your interior. ******** Period: Middle 19th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
