Bring a classic Japanese flavor to your tea making ritual with the Heiseimaru Arare Nambu Tekki Iron Kettle. Created by the 6th generation of Oitomi artisans, this design marked the beginning of the Japanese Heisei period, which started in 1989. The kettle has a more traditional look, with the signature Arare pattern adorning the body and giving the cast iron material a gorgeous texture. Fired with the kama-yaki technique, this iron kettle boasts a protective outer layer. The raw interior is not enameled, which means that water and tea will have a mellower flavor. The gracefully curved spout ensures a perfect pour, every time. Made with a larger capacity of 1 L, this tetsubin is perfect for serving guests. Like other products from the same collection, the Oitomi Heiseimaru Arare Nambu Tekki Iron Kettle suits any type of stove, including induction. Please keep in mind that while it is crafted with an anti-rust technique, this product can rust if moisture is left inside the kettle. Don’t use detergent, sponges or scrubbers to clean the kettle, as they can damage the material. Wipe off any excess moisture with a soft cloth. Only use low to medium heat on induction stoves, as high heat can deform the cast iron. If used on an open flame, keep in mind that the cast iron will gradually discolor and the base will turn white over time.
