Arts & Crafts oak reclining chair, designed by Ambrose Heal (1872–1959) for Heals of London. Circa 1905. Stamped: Sesame lounge registered design 466805. The oak has been refinished and has a matte sheen. Overall in very good condition, there are some signs of use, retaining light authentic marks to highlight its genuine heritage. The chair is fully reupholstered with new foams, and covered in a muted black and white cotton ticking fabric. The clean lines of fabric work beautifully with the oak's simple form frame, which shows the influence of C.F.A Voysey. Very sturdy in structure with no loose joints. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
