Art Deco Dutch Modernism Design Reclining "Grand" Armchair. Made in the Netherlands, late 1920's period. Oak wood constructed arm chair with pink velvet seat and back cushions. In the Amsterdam School style, with nice details in the design and manufacturing of this chair. This "Grand" Chair was a gift for a senior of the Valkenswaard Community, for his services in the 1893 - 1931 period, as the brass plack on the front of the chair reads. The chair comes in very good, all original condition. Hardly ever used, even the spare captioned buttons are still attached on the underside of the chair, which is a very neat detail. The chair measures 106cm x 69cm x 90cm.
