George Hunzinger invented and designed these chairs in his New York city factory from the 1870's and patented the double spring mechanism at the bottom which allows the chair to rock effortlessly . The entire chair has the typical carved and twisted style and Patented Duplex spring action of George Hunzinger . Completely restored ( Refinished hand French Polish ), very sturdy and it works great. Original Needlepoint from smoke-free & pet-free house.
