This iconic woven rocker is made of rope, which is made of paper cord, and wood. This is a chair you can use to relax in and soothe yourself, or soothe a child. It can work in a living room, office, bedroom or nursery. There is no maker’s mark, however the rocker is styled after the design created by Hans Wegner. The country of origin is not identified; the rocker may have been made in Yugoslavia. I have seen other examples that were made there. I estimate that it was made in the 1960s. The paper cord is intact, however there are areas of discoloration: on the right side of the seat, on the left and right sides of the back. There are some minor marks, consistent with age and use, and some areas on the arms where the finish has come off. Please refer to the pictures. Please let me know if you have any questions.
