A Plycraft attributed bentwood rocking chair, circa 1970. The frame is in original condition - showing some minor scuffs (see close up images). Original brown fabric upholstery. Surprisingly comfortable chair. Ready for use. Plycraft was a mid-century American furniture manufacturer, known for its innovative use of molded (bent) plywood. The company collaborated with designers like George Mulhauser to create iconic lounge chairs. The company is linked to some controversy regarding its designs being loose copies of pieces designed by other famous designers however, it is recognized for its contribution to mid-century modern design.
