Gilbert & George – Pouf/rocking Chairs

Two identical forms, open to interpretation. Gilbert & George is a modular piece made of two symmetrical poufs that can be arranged as an ottoman, split into a pair of rocking chairs, or used as a lounge chair with footrest. Designed by Denis Santachiara in 2015, the piece plays with balance—both physical and conceptual. It’s animated, flexible, and quietly subversive in its simplicity. Each element is upholstered in polyurethane fabric, available in various color combinations that echo the playful logic of its form. Nothing is fixed. Everything is in motion—just like the artists it’s named after.
