Estimated 19th Century Stickley Ladder Back Rocker with woven Rush Seating; in excellent condition. The seating has been updated but to the original style of the chair. This chair is a lite chestnut type brown, shows wear but commensurate with age. The rocker is very solid. This chair comes from one of the Gold Coast Mansions of Long Island and is a one family, thru generations owned item, hence the excellent condition. Very nice generations of family that took care in all they had. This Rocker is very close to museum quality.
