Vintage rocking chair in solid patinated Scandinavian oak tree and original "Olmerdug" wool upholstery. This model was designed in the 1950s and is ascribed to Henry Kjærnulff, Denmark. The style is modern but with playful hints to historical chairs. The frame is made from solid oak with a nice grain and the seat and back is upholstered in the original traditional Danish upholstery. A very comfortable and sturdy chair to be used as a desk or side chair. Danish midcentury designer and architect, Henry Kjærnulf is somewhat of a mystery. A lot more is known about his designs than Kjærnulf himself. His wooden designs, crafted to perfection, speak for themselves. In recent years his modern Baroque inspired furniture has become increasingly popular in contemporary interiors.
