Hinterland's reimagined Shepherd's Chair is the culmination of years of design and prototyping. Inspired by the close relationship between a traditional herders tools, animals and the land. The curve of the staff. The softness of the sheepskin. And the wood of the forest. This version is made of solid bent Canadian white ash which has been whitewashed and upholstered with a natural sheepskin sling seat and backrest. The three perfect arcs of the rounded wood frame hold the leather in place and create an elegant chair to recline in. Other options are a black dyed sheepskin with a carbon dyed Canadian white ash frame and a tanned leather version with an American black walnut frame. Wood is hand oiled and waxed with natural low-voc satin oil and beeswax polish.Measures: Chair is 30" W x 35" D x 31" H and seat height is 17" H.Hinterland designs and manufactures each of their pieces in its Vancouver, Canada workshop.
