Solid white quarter sawn oak American Arts and Crafts rocking chair. Featuring paddle style arm, shaped top rail support, slatted back, exposed mortise and tenon and dowel joinery, corbel arm support and original spring drop in seat. Signed with a partial paper label and number, 404. Circa 1915-25. Good old dark patina and finish. Some minor cosmetic wear to finish, light scratches, and minor finish fade and color difference on the arms. Structurally sound and sturdy construction. Original spring cushion with replace upholstery with staining and fade. The rocker's approximate measurements are 30" deep x 27.5" wide x 40" high. The approximate seat height is 16". The approximate arm height is 21.5".
