I love the delicate hand carving of this piece. This is a late 19th, early 20th century Chinese divider screen with hand carved wood and motifs that include mountains, trees and birds in flight. This rectangular divider rests on two feet and displays skillful carving that creates a beautiful effect as light filters through. The panel is made of a light colored varnished wood that resembles redwood. The carving at the top of the piece creates a beautiful visual interest point. This is an unusual and appealing art work that is also functional. It is 39 inches tall.
