Panel screens originating from Yunnan province in southern China. These exquisite carved panels would once have formed an internal dividing wall. Each one is intricately carved, depicting various flora and fauna in the top and bottom sections, with wonderful detailed flower vases, bronzes, books and brushes for calligraphy, on the main upper sections. The carvings have been produced by an extremely skilled craftsman, beautifully detailed with interlocking, swirling curves - in particular the main sections which are carved through. Used either as a divider or with hinges as a four panel folding screen, the panels would make a stunning talking point.
