The Hide & Seek folding screen is a three-panel composition constructed around a concealed structural frame and fully upholstered in handwoven wild silk. The silk surface displays the natural slubbing and tonal variation characteristic of wild silk, adding depth and organic texture to the architectural form.Each panel is divided horizontally into two primary sections. The upper section features vertically applied silk pleats, individually tensioned and secured with brass studs along the horizontal break. These evenly spaced pleats introduce controlled shadow, movement, and surface articulation.The lower sections maintain a smooth silk plane, emphasizing contrast between structured pleating and flat textile fields.
