What a cleverly designed screen! It's got two pieces of wood on each panel, sandwiched together so that small, more or less rectangular openings are created where the curving designs overlap. Insofar as this (frankly, rather amazing) screen is all wood and double sided, it's quite heavy, giving it great stability (all depending, of course, on how you display it). It weighs in the vicinity of 50 pounds. By "double-sided" I mean that it appears identical whether you're looking at the "front" or the "back." Excellent, therefore as a divider between two employed spaces. In excellent overall condition, very clearly cared for and not placed anywhere that the sun might harm the wood or compromise its color. The color of the frame reminds one of rosewood (which it is not). The blonde finished wood might be birch or poplar. It's comprised of an inner layer with a thin sheet of finished hardwood on each side. The right panel looks a little different from the center and left-hand panels, which is 100% the result of the photography. The color and finish is identical for all of the three panels. I suggest blanket-wrap for transporting this screen, which is why I've chosen to have it shipped by Chairish.
