This piece is a large example and is very much of the period. The leather embossed side shows a nautical scene of a male and female mermaids holding hands surrounded by the swirls of the ocean. The reverse side has various pictures, they look to me to be a mixture of water colours, some seem to be early plate prints that have been hand coloured, others, complete water colours, it’s hard to tell exactly due to the age This is the most elegant example of this kind of work I have ever seen, the condition is also first class Dimensions Height:- 193.5cm Width:- 268cm Depth:- 4cm per panel, when folded the depth is 15.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
