A wonderful authentic Navajo textile of the "Night Chant" Blue Masked Dancers, Yeibichai. Circa 1930s/1940s. Size is impressive at 53" x 76". It is made from the wool of sheep, which is gathered by the Native American weaver and also uses natural dyes to make the colors in this weaving. It was woven on a horizontal loom which is the known process for Navajo rugs and weavings. It has had a bit of professional restoration and cleaning by Ben Leroux in Colorado. He is well known for excellent work in restoring and cleaning of Navajo rugs. A lovely piece of history as wall art. I am happy to send a "Authentication" certificate along with this item.
