1930s Navajo Textile Rug "Night Chant" Blue Masked Dancers

Chairish

$3,500

A wonderful authentic Navajo textile of the "Night Chant" Blue Masked Dancers, Yeibichai. Circa 1930s/1940s. Size is impressive at 53" x 76". It is made from the wool of sheep, which is gathered by the Native American weaver and also uses natural dyes to make the colors in this weaving. It was woven on a horizontal loom which is the known process for Navajo rugs and weavings. It has had a bit of professional restoration and cleaning by Ben Leroux in Colorado. He is well known for excellent work in restoring and cleaning of Navajo rugs. A lovely piece of history as wall art. I am happy to send a "Authentication" certificate along with this item. I have been in the Native American arts and crafts business for the past 30 years. I have exhibited at Santa Fe's Whitehawk Vintage Native American Art Show, The Great Southwestern Vintage Native American Art Show; at Marburger Farm in Round Top, Texas and The Big Red Barn at Round Top, TX. All these shows are vetted.
