1960s Turkish Oushak Rug - 3'8" x 6'4", Turkish Oushak Rugs are Hand-woven with wool on wool foundation in various regions of the Anatolian plateau, where the weaving of oriental rugs originated. Rich in tradition and pride, each of the villages of the area produced a certain design and colors that the neighbors rarely copied. These masterpieces were largely illustrated in historical European painting. Their bold geometrical designs and soft colors made them favorites of interior designers.
