Evoking the beauty of the sky, a border of aqua gives way to stripes and a central panel of pale grey, dotted with colorful geometric patterns over the body of of this traditional dhurrie rug from India. Local artisans determine the design and then diligently hand-weave the rug of wool on a cotton warp through a process that takes up to five days to complete. Finished with tiny fringes at each end, the dhurrie makes a welcoming addition into any home.
