While there is no town called Bakshaish in the Heriz weaving region, the term is used to describe antique rugs and carpets from the late 19th century that typically feature allover patterns, soft colors, and semi-geometric designs. By around 1900, this style transitioned into the more recognizable Heriz style, making genuine Bakshaish carpets true antiques. Colors include charcoal, camel, taupe, pink, and blue.
