This boldly simple SW Caucasian Armenian scatter shows a uniform patter of octagons enclosing hooked diamonds in both the madder rust-red field and in the eggshell border. Camel-straw, dark blue, red and ivory detail the restricted, but effective palette. Red/ blue-green inner arrowhead reciprocal minor and dark blue outer with small, pinched octagons. Crisp all-natural dye palette with madder and indigo foremost. Good condition with thick pile, moderately coarse weave and spacious drawing.
