A slim tube of raw aluminum—no paint, no graphics—houses ink that clings to almost anything you point it at. That’s the Anywhere Anytime Marker. Made in Japan, it swaps the usual plastic shell for a lightweight metal body that feels sturdy in a pocket or toolbox and ages with small nicks like a well-used ruler. Twist off the cap and an oil-based, quick-dry ink flows in a crisp line across wood, metal, ceramic, glass, or plastic; once set, it shrugs off rain and coffee splashes alike. Four shades cover the basics and a little extra—Black, Brown, Sky Blue, Pink—and when you finally run the marker dry, a refill service lets you top it up instead of tossing it. Keep one at the desk for labeling sample jars, another in the backpack for field notes, and a third on the workbench for marking cut lines—ready whenever, wherever a permanent thought needs recording.
