This rug was woven by artisans using a foot loom, a time honored method of weaving, in the rug weaving village of Teotitlan del Valle, right outside of Oaxaca, Mexico. Archive New York is a line of handwoven, artisan made home decor products, founded in 2014 in Brooklyn, NY. The founder, Amira Marion, grew up in a home filled with Mexican and Guatemalan textiles gathered by her parents in the 1970s.
