Art Deco Trellis Kelim 1 is a rectangular hand-made wool flatweave rug.‎Art Deco design represented modernism turned into fashion.‎ The intention was to create a sleek and anti-traditional elegance that symbolised wealth and sophistication.‎ The distinguishing features of the style are simple, clean shapes, often with a ‘streamlined’ look; ornamentation that is geometric or stylised from representational form, much like Gabbeh designs and motifs.‎ No surprise then that Zollanvari have always been inspired by the simplicity and elegance of Art Deco designs.‎ They present two new ‘trellis’ design kelims at M&O January 2024 that confirm this admiration.‎
