Its sandy-brown tones and soft lines that outline its asymmetrical body recall cracked earth — but not broken.The rug is handwoven from only natural materials, using techniques that emphasize textile depth and a sense of slow movement across material hills. It brings into a space a restrained warmth, like a quiet walking pace in an old city.Gadi Carmel’s design came from listening to the language of the earth — even when it is already part of the concrete.
