The simplicity of plain Gabbehs with a tone-on-tone large rectangular motif meets the abstract minimalism of Rothko’s colour field paintings.‎ This is the latest colourway mixing blues, greens and turquoise with an extensive use of abrash… the result: a decorator’s dream!Abstract designs are Gabbeh classics.‎ Zollanvari have produced modern versions of these classics that have won recognition worldwide, including various Carpet Design Awards at DOMOTEX, German Design Awards and Interiors Innovation Awards at IMM Cologne.‎ Abstract & Plain Gabbehs are available in both Zollanvari Fine and Zollanvari Super Fine qualities.‎ We also offer carpets in natural colours (un-dyed wool) and single colours with a mesmerising abrash effect in our Zollanvari Fine ‘Shekarlou’ range, woven by Turkmen tribes in northern Iran.‎ These carpets are lighter due to the use of a single weft between rows of knots.‎
