Brand: ClassiConModel: Cassis RugDesign: Eileen Gray, 1920-1935Eileen Gray not only created some of the most iconic furniture classics of the 20th century, but also ran her own studio in which rugs were developed directly from her designs. Some of her most beautiful textile works are now part of the ClassiCon rug collection. The Cassis Rug is named after the picturesque coastal town of Cassis in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southern France, where Eileen Gray spent significant periods of her life. The color scheme is inspired by the blackcurrant fruit (cassis), combining deep terracotta and vibrant strawberry red with geometric white and dark brown surfaces, creating a bold yet harmonious composition."Things must not only look right, they must also feel right." - Eileen GrayThe rug is made of 100% fine New Zealand virgin wool, hand-spun and hand-knotted using the Tibetan knot technique, with a density of 80 knots per square inch (6.45 cm²). Environmentally friendly color pigments are used, tested in accordance with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. The rug is low-maintenance and suitable for vacuum cleaners.
