A remarkable early 20th century Persian Sultanabad rug with a wonderful tribal pattern including a central medallion with stylized flowers and scrolling vines living amidst a field of more stylized floral clusters, and all surrounded by a wide border with a repeated stylized floral and scrolling vine pattern, and all woven in rich crimsons, indigos, golds, and coral colored wool.
