Ghashgha’i Gelim

Ghashgha’i Gelim is a rectangular wool rug.‎The Heritage collection of flatweaves includes archaic design Luri and Ghashgha’i gelims as well as fine ‘modernist’ Mazandaran gelims which were almost unknown less than a decade ago, but which have now been documented in Parviz Tanavoli’s ground-breaking book ‘Undiscovered Minimalism’.‎ Reza Zollanvari has collected some of the finest and most unusual of these gelims, including some extraordinary double-sided pieces.‎
