5′ x 9’ 8” Vintage Hand-Knotted gallery or room size Persian rug from the Shiraz region of Western Persia circa the mid 1900s. The Shiraz or Lori tribal design rug, similar to Qashqai rugs, comes with traditional three vertical medallions which is “Shiraz Signature” pattern. The rug has a red color background with an ivory color border with a geometric pattern with medallions in French blue and ivory. The use of the tree and animal forms throughout the field is a signature design of the tribal weaver of this region.
