Volver aims to enrich the notion of Scandinavian design with a vibrant diversity of artistic and individual expressions.Originally from Tallinn, Estonia, born and raised in an artist home, Ksenia Stanishevski studied industrial design at the School of Architecture and Design in Oslo, Norway and The University of Newcastle, Australia.By starting Volver in 2018, Ksenia’s design objective has been to bring individual artistry and creativity into our environments, be it home or work. “Inspiring expression” in each of her clients and each project has been a fundamental element in her work. Pushing the limits between art, design, and handcraft, Ksenia constantly experiments and dares to confront stereotypes of what rug is, what art is, and what textile is, and is working with scales from micro to macro, pushing the possibilities of available technology and traditional handcraft.
