Macondo is a dhurrie rug in wool.‎ It is a small space made of irregular textures, assembled colours and fringes where they should not be.‎ You have to stay inside and forget about the world and things to do.‎ Like a book, it has its own weave and a plot with characters.‎ Colors MC01 (soil melange | light brown melange | charcoal melange | light grey melange)MC02 (dark brown melange | canvas melange | light blue | teal)MC03 (rust | plum melange | light grey melange |medium brown melange)MC04 (acqua melange | blue gray | light blue | canvas melange) Technical information Quality: Handwoven 'dhurrie' carpet, wool and viscose.‎ Thickness: 5 mm approx.‎ Weight: 2,1 Kg/sqm approx.‎The configuration (size + color) must be completed to obtain the final price of the product.‎Dhurrie is a form of hand weaving very similar to “kilim”.‎ It is made up exclusively of warp and weft, woven and not knotted.‎ It is also called “flat weave”.‎ The pattern or design is created solely by the weft which covers the warp.‎ It does not allow for complicated patterns or textured surfaces as the other techniques do.‎ This may at first appear as a limitation.‎ But we have evolved the original technique by introducing additional threads to the basic wool weft (low-pile).‎ The pattern is produced by this secondary high pile in viscose.‎ The carpet is backed with the same latex and cotton canvas method as the hand tufted carpets.‎
