Magneto is a rug made with a manual loom, 90% New Zealand wool and 10% cotton with a shaved wool fleece finish and flat areas.‎ Customizable sizes and colors.‎ Not suitable for outdoor use.‎ From a distance it can be clearly seen a very classic design: large stripes in contrasting colors.‎ But the closer you get to the carpet, the more the texture is enriched with shades, vibrant colors that enhance the material.‎The technique used for pile rugs consists in intersecting the longitudinal threads (spectrum) with the transversal threads (weft).‎ The yarn is stretched onto the loom to create a tight warp.‎ Working from the bottom upwards, the artisans weave the weft, creating various patterns and textures.‎ To create the “pile”, the fibre is wound around a special shaft during the weaving process and cut to ensure it is the same height.‎ The backing to the pile is in cotton and holds the framework of the rug together.‎ The final effect is a soft, supple rug.‎
