This vintage 6x12 Persian kilim is a tribal rug of Shahsavan provenance. Handwoven in wool, it originates from Turkey circa 1950-1960. Further on the Design: The bold design prefers polychromatic patterns, and an unusual choice of colors for Shahsavan Kilims in its period. Traditional brick red, rust orange and beige-brown enjoys pink accents that lend a vibrant, playful accent and movement alike. It’s a subtle departure, yet an exemplar of Persian tribal kilims as well. Further on the Condition: This mid-century Persian flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age, and it’s ready for the floor.
