A wonderfully vivid early 20th century Persian Azeri rug with a large central hexagonal medallion woven with stylized flowers in light and dark indigo, gold, and green vegetable dyed wool, on a crimson wool background. The medallion lives amidst a field of more stylized flowers on a rich indigo colored background. The border is wonderful with multiple pettier floral and vine, and striped patterned bands, all woven in complementary colors.
