An early 20th century antique Persian Tabriz rug. Ivory field, terracotta/burnt orange accents. Measures: 7'9'' x 11'3''. Tabriz rug weavers drew on a varied repertoire of delicate designs: multi-faceted flowerheads, subtle arabesques, lush vinery rendered in naturalistic detail, and precise allover “Herati” patterns, all woven in an assortment of colors. The ones with the herati patterns seem to be the most in demand as they complement modern and traditional spaces.
