This Sultanabad Runner is a vintage piece from Northern Egypt, crafted by hand using wool on a cotton foundation in the Nile delta region. At a size of 2'4" x 10'8", these rugs were expertly woven in Fustat, the former capital of Egypt, located on the northern outskirts of modern day Cairo. Following traditional techniques that have remained virtually unchanged for centuries, these beautifully understated rugs are the perfect addition to any setting.
