Long Turkish Sivas Runner 2'9" X 21'9"

Circa 1900. Sivas in eastern Anatolia is best known for interpretations in light tones of Persian, especially Tabriz, designs. The pile is usually low and the weaves are medium Fine. They are decorative in the best sense, but are actually quite hard to find. The rug is in good condition with a low pile that adds the patina so special in antique and vintage rugs.
