Persian Serab Rug Runner 2' X 6'6

A wonderful antique Serab gallery-runner rug with the date in Persian 1916 woven into rug, in a hard to find size. Serab is located on the edge of the Heriz weaving area and specializes in runners. The patterns are geometric, the wool pile is quite dense and more modern rugs tend toward lighter palettes. Few scatters and no room size antique Serab�����s were woven. Colors: brick/green/ivory/gold/black.
