A Turkish Karabagh flat weave wool runner rug circa 1920. Hand woven in warm natural colors, the center is decorated with an all over geometric floral pattern in straight rows, surrounded with a triple banded border. The floral and tulip motif represent spring, newlyweds and prosperity. The double-edged fence of security motif on the border signifies respect and protection from the outer events of life.
