This antique French hand carved wooden statue is of a bearded man wearing a robe tied at the waist with a long scarf draped over his shoulder. The back of the statue has an opening where it was likely attached to something else at one point in time. There are old traces of old polychrome paint and the details of the carvings are very well done. This tall statue will be a wonderful piece of art anywhere it is placed.
