An all original, 18th century, hand carved, solid wood statue of a young Ming dynasty warrior on horse. Warrior wears a full, elaborate armor fronted with a shield under a large circular collar and shoulder pads above thickly layered skirt for extra protection. A pair of reinforced high boots complete the suit. He has large, bright eyes that express great confidence and determination. Beautiful original colors remain visible.
