This sculpture is a notable example of Orientalist art from the 19th century, typically titled "Arab on Horse" or "Cavalier Arabe". It is a collaborative work attributed to French sculptors Alfred Barye (1839–1882) and Émile-Coriolan Guillemin (1841–1907). Artists: Often signed as "Barye Fils" (Alfred Barye) and "Guillemin". Some versions are also associated with Alfred's father, the famous animalier sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye.
