Made from a combination of ceramic and metal. This original piece depicts a man with a distinctive bowler hat, mirrored glasses, a mustache, thick eyebrows, and distinct nose. The sculpture blends folk art style with modernist ceramic techniques. The head sits on top of a metal pole that is removable from the block base. There is cork board material on the bottom of the very solid/ heavy base helping protect surfaces its set on. The pole has threads but it doesn't seem to thread into the base. It does sit in it easily and seems sturdy. The sculpture is quite heavy and the block base will be taken off for shipping.
