Sculptural, playful, and unapologetically graphic, the “Domän” floor sculpture reads like a punctuation mark in a room. Designed by Tony Almén and Peter Gest, the cherry red sculpture was produced during a period when IKEA was exploring more expressive, sculptural forms alongside its core furniture offerings. It reflects the brand’s 1990s interest in bold, object-driven design. Sold for a limited time at IKEA, the sculpture is less commonly found today, particularly in this excellent condition.
