Circa is a contemporary steel sculpture by artist Nicholas Turner, defined by a vertical sequence of four circular forms. The composition emphasizes balance, repetition, and negative space, resulting in a restrained yet commanding presence. Fabricated from solid steel and finished in a fine-texture satin black powder coat, the sculpture features a matte, light-absorbing surface that sharpens the clarity of its geometry. The finish provides long-term durability while maintaining a refined appearance suitable for both interior and exterior settings. Conceived as a spatial object, Circa engages with light and shadow as it relates to its environment. This work is part of the artist’s Obsidian Series, a body of work focused on architectural form and material restraint. Each piece is fabricated individually in the artist’s studio and signed by the artist. This work is made to order with an estimated production lead time of 4–6 weeks. Weight: approximately 70 lbs.
