This sculpture depicts the goddess Venus, having emerged from the sea as a fully grown woman, arriving at the sea-shore. It dates from the last quarter of the 20th century. This reproduces the Venus depicted in the Italian Renaissance painting by Botticelli. This bronze was made by the traditional lost wax process.
