An important and rare majolica created by the Italian sculptor, ceramist, and engraver Andrea Parini. The work was presented at the First Exhibition of Ceramic Art in Messina in 1952 (present in the catalog). Parini began working in his native Caltagirone in the local majolica factories at a young age, where he quickly distinguished himself with his imagination and technical skill. At just 28, he participated in the Venice Biennale (1934), the Rome Quadrennial, and the Milan Triennial. from 1942 to 1963, he was director of the Art Institute of Nove di Bassano, and from 1961, director of the State Art Institute of Venice. It is important to note that in 1952, he exhibited in a joint exhibition with Picasso, Fontana, and Melotti in Messina.
