A fine late 18th century French carved wood head of a pretty young woman in the Greco-Roman taste. Grecian fashion gained popularity in the late 18th century. The head is carved out of oak, having meticulous detail. It is mounted to a later figured mahogany base with a gilt metal urn appliqué.
